Show up for their wine and cheese pairing, stick around for their delicious brick oven pizza and pick your favorite wines for a custom case to-go.

Make a trip to Parkton, MD to experience this award-winning, family-owned winery: Royal Rabbits Vineyard. It nods to the owner’s love of medieval Europe while providing a more personal experience. As you visit with Roy, Linda, ‘Mom’ and ‘Pop’, treat yourself to a comfortable, sit-down tasting of award-winning dry and semi-sweet wines grown and bottled on site. Close to the Maryland/Pennsylvania state line, this is a perfect pit stop for those traveling between the two states.

Comfort food, craft beer and beautiful craftsmanship … is there anything better? This historic, 100-acre Monkton farm plays host to friends and family (and dogs!) and turns them into lifetime fans with their ‘crop to keg’ philosophy and seasonal brews. The abundant outdoor and indoor seating, along with an on-site food trailer, make this the perfect place to kick your feet up and stay awhile.
The self-serve beer wall: it’s THE thing at B.C. Brewery, located in Hunt Valley. Served on 2 walls, with 24 taps each, you can pour as little or as much as you like, it’s charged by the ounce! Known to locals as ‘BCB,’ it’s home to Maryland’s first line of 100% gluten-free beer, as well as a small selection of gluten-free ciders, hybrids and seltzers.

Looking to bike the Torrey C. Brown trails, or tube downriver on the Gunpowder from the Hunt Valley area? Then Hunt Valley Village Rentals has you covered. It provides bike rentals and tube rentals throughout the week, weather and river conditions permitting.

Monkton Bike Rentals is another great option for those looking to access all the nature the area has to offer. Monkton Bike Rentals offers 1.5 and 2.5 hour tubing excursions down the Gunpowder River, along with bike rentals available for nearby trails.

Golf Courses
With a diverse layout from start to finish, Greystone Golf Course is one of the crown jewels of the Baltimore area’s golf experiences. This 18-hole, par 72 course sits in Northeastern Baltimore County. It features 140 feet of elevation changes, expansive views, and a multitude of hazards mixed in along a trek that features five par 5s and five par 3s.
Looking for a challenging but all-skill-levels-welcome course? Oakmont Green, a championship 18-hole public course located in Hampstead in northern Carroll County, MD, is the perfect spot. Take a drive through the countryside and arrive at this hidden gem for a day of play, or enjoy a fun game of ‘Glow Golf’ when available.
Piney Branch, a private course in Northwest Baltimore County, is best known for its bent-grass greens and picture-perfect tree-lined fairways. Boasting 6,781 of course from the tips, it offers a challenging but fair play for any golf enthusiast. The club is well-known for being one of the region’s most affordable private courses.
State Parks
Gunpowder Falls State Park offers variety for outdoor enthusiasts – from tidal wetlands to steep and rugged slopes. Covering over 18,000 acres in Harford and Baltimore Counties, Gunpowder features more than 120 miles of multi-use trails, protected state wildlands, historic sites, fishing, kayaking, canoeing, tubing and a swimming beach and marina. Divided into six key ‘areas’ each with their own landscape and offerings, a trip to Gunpowder Falls needs to be on everyone’s Maryland ‘to-do’ list.

Located on 1,043 acres of forested land in Cockeysville, Oregon Ridge has miles of hiking trails, as well as a lakefront pavilion, nature center, outdoor animal enclosures, accessible playground and picnic areas. Interested in learning about Maryland’s natural landscape? The Oregon Ridge Park holds nature classes year-round, as well as other open-to-the-public events.

Rocks State Park is the home site of the King and Queen Seat, a scenic rocky outcropping 190-feet above Deer Creek. Kilgore Falls, the second-highest vertical drop waterfall in Maryland, is also found within its borders. Nestled in northern Harford County, it’s recommended you call ahead to reserve your spot if planning to visit the Falls.

Tourist Attractions
Inner Harbor, one of America’s oldest seaports, is home to some of Baltimore’s best attractions. Take in a ballgame at Camden Yards, or visit the many waterfront attractions such as climbing historical ships – be sure to make your way to the top of Federal Hill for a breathtaking view of the harbor day or night.
Hitting the aquarium? Set aside a half-day to visit all 16,500 species of terrestrial and aquatic wildlife on site. One of the world’s greatest aquariums, it moves crowds through strategically, and is an adult or family fun destination to remember. Don’t forget to catch a dolphin show before your day is through for the ultimate aquarium experience.
One of the oldest zoos in the US, Maryland Zoo sits inside Druid Hill Park in northwestern Baltimore. This outdoor park is perfect for day dates, family fun and animal, nature and health enthusiasts alike. Check in to see what ‘encounters’ are available on your visit – you may be lucky enough to mingle with penguins, giraffes and chimps … oh my!
Colleges / Universities

With 27 athletic teams including football, men’s and women’s lacrosse, ice hockey, basketball, soccer, and volleyball, Stevenson University also provides a top-notch educational experience to its students. A small, private university with two campuses based in Stevenson and Owings Mills, popular majors at this quaint educational establishment include nursing, criminal justice and business.

Loyola University attracts students of all ages, who are not only attracted to Baltimore and the surrounding areas, but want to use their liberal arts education to shape a better future. One of the nation’s top 100 public universities, Towson University is located in Towson, MD – a tree-lined college town bustling with activities for professionals, students and families alike. Home to Unitas Stadium, the third-largest sports complex in the Baltimore region, this 329-acre campus helped the Baltimore area earn the title of one of the 10 best American cities for college students.

Johns Hopkins, founded in 1876, is America’s first research university and home to nine world-class schools working together as one university. The university that helped make water purification possible, that developed the ramjet engine, launched the field of genetic engineering and authenticated the Dead Sea Scrolls is located right in the heart of Baltimore. Event Venues

Located a block away from the Baltimore Convention Center, the Royal Farms Arena is one of the best live entertainment venues in Maryland. Popular events held at the arena include WWE, comedy festivals, Disney on Ice, diverse music concerts, and is also home to the Baltimore Brigade (an AFL team). Tucked into 45 acres of gardens and wooded walkways stands Gramercy Mansion, a historic, Tudor-style bed and breakfast and private event venue welcoming guests and private events throughout the year. Shawan Downs is a first-class equestrian center and steeplechase course which celebrates the equestrian heritage of the Baltimore County area. It is home to the Legacy Chase each September, a premier event that has established itself as an annual “must attend” event for many Marylanders and visitors alike. It also features an additional 4-5 steeplechase races and eventing competitions throughout the year.

Home to the middle jewel in horse-racing’s Triple Crown, the Preakness Stakes, Pimlico Race Course is the second-oldest racetrack in America. Live thoroughbred horse racing takes place on-site throughout the year, and can be viewed from the Terrace Room, as well as wagered on for those feeling lucky.
